April 2020 Lawn of the Month Winners

Virginia Green is excited to announce the April Lawn of the Month winners! With OVER 120 LOM submissions, it was EXTREMELY difficult to choose, as all of the lawns submitted look amazing this spring and we wish everyone could be a winner. If you weren’t chosen, next month is another opportunity to show off your beautiful lawn. Remember, each month is a new chance to win $75 toward a future application.

First, we have the Sledd family from Henrico, Virginia. The Sledd family has been with Virginia Green for a little over a year. With their submission they stated, “I’ve been a VA Green customer for just over a year now and can’t say enough how impressed I am. I’ve always been a yard fanatic which was most likely inherited from hours working in the yard with my Dad as a kid. I was able to ‘get by’ for years using Scotts Fertilizer for weed control and the stress of bugs, fungus, etc. I just couldn’t keep up with it during the summer months. After looking at most of my neighbors’ yards as well as good friends who have used VA Green for years, I decided to pull the trigger and haven’t looked back. You guys do an awesome job and I couldn’t believe how well my lawn made it through the summer last year. It came back so strong this spring as well.” Your lawn indeed looks great this spring. Thank you for trusting Virginia Green to care for your lawn. 

Second, we have the Smith family from Chester, Virginia. The Smith family has been a part of the Virginia Green family for the past three years. With their submission they wrote, “I have been trying to get a nice green lawn for 20 years and one of my neighbors said he was using Virginia Green. So, I called and this is the result after two years. THANK YOU, Virginia Green.” You’re very welcome, Smith family. We’re happy you have the lawn you’ve always wanted.

Next, we have the Burcher family from Yorktown, Virginia. They have been with Virginia Green for the past year. With their submission, they specified, “We love our lawn because it stays green year-round and since VA Green has treated our yard, we hardly ever get weeds anymore! We even get compliments on how green our grass is! Thank you, VA Green, for giving us the perfect yard we can always enjoy!” Your lawn is definitely deep green this spring. We’re glad to hear that your lawn is one that you can always enjoy.

Fourth, we have the Hannah family from Midlothian, Virginia. The Hannah family has been with Virginia Green for the past nine months. With their submission they wrote, “We are extremely happy with our VA Green lawn! Last year our entire yard nearly died while using another company, who put down the wrong fertilizer and treatments. I called Todd at VA Green (who is awesome, by the way) and in less than 12 treatments and a little TLC, we now have one of the best-looking lawns in the neighborhood! We have been on the Premium Lawn Care plan for nearly 1 year. In addition, last fall we dressed the lawn with topsoil, aerated & seeded in several dead areas and also detached. We could not be happier, thank you so much Virginia Green!!!!” It’s amazing what just nine months can do for a lawn with dedication, TLC, and aeration and seeding. Your lawn—front and back—looks amazing!

Fifth, we have the Massey family from Stafford, Virginia. The Massey family has been with Virginia Green for the past year and a half and is a part of the Premium Lawn Care program. With their submission, they informed us, “I love getting out, seeing my grass grow, and look healthy, thanks to VG.” We’re happy to hear that your grass is growing and we can certainly tell it looks healthy. Aeration and seeding last fall really did the trick.

Now, we have the Bartley family from Richmond, Virginia. The Bartley family has been with Virginia Green since the very beginning. We appreciate your commitment to Virginia Green all these years. With the photo they sent over, they wrote, “We have been customers for a very long time and also put trust in VA Green Lawn Care to fully take care of our lawn with the professional experience they have proven to have! We have upgraded our services through the years and it shows! During the pandemic we have been sitting out front a lot and are complimented on our lawn all the time! We must give credit where credit is due.” Thank you, Bartley family. During these unprecedented times, enjoying a lawn that is this beautiful and lush is such a great thing to do.

Seventh, we have the Burr family also from Richmond, Virginia. The Burr family has been with Virginia Green for the past nine months and is on the Premium Lawn Care program. With their submission, they stated, “We are loving our thick green, green grass (that started from your seed this past fall!!!) and all the beautiful colors of spring. We’re feeling very grateful for a beautiful, colorful and peaceful yard during this time of the pandemic. Staying home is a bit more enjoyable with a beautiful yard!” Your colorful landscape really makes your lawn stand out. I can see why staying home at this time is very peaceful.

Next, we have the Glass family from Ruckersville, Virginia. The Glass family has been with Virginia Green going on five years now and has been on the Estate Lawn Care program since the beginning. With their submission, they wrote, “My wife and I love the way our yard looks and it’s all because of Virginia Green. We, like so many of your customers, continually receive accolades from our neighbors. When one of them tries to determine where we live during a walk, they say, ‘Your yard is the really green one.’ It was green through the entire winter. Another neighbor said it looked fake, it was so green. Thank you, Virginia Green.” We’re so happy to hear that you love your lawn just as much as we love caring for it. It’s great to hear that your neighbors are able to distinguish a Virginia Green lawn from the others.

Now, we have the Nicholson family from Chester, Virginia. The Nicholson family has been with Virginia Green for a year and a half now. When submitting in their photo, they stated, “Our yard has been transformed thanks to the help of Virginia Green. When we built this house in 2017, we were both young professionals and knew little to nothing about what was involved in caring for a lawn this size. Our front yard is south facing and our yard was brown, yellow and so patchy before we started our services with Virginia Green. The results have been remarkable! The technicians who service our yard are always so nice and friendly and allow us to ask questions.” Thank you for putting your trust in Virginia Green to care for your lawn. It’s wonderful how a lawn can go from brown, yellow and patchy to the beautiful lush green we see today. Our technicians are always available to answer any questions you may have.

Tenth, we have the Holder family from Toano, Virginia. With their submission, they said, “Virginia Green has done a fantastic job on our lawn over the last 2 years. We live in a rural community in Toano on the Chickahominy River where there are abundant weed species in the area that can invade a lawn rapidly. This is totally under control with our lawn not to mention the thick and lush green appearance with fairly hard soil to deal with. Our backyard lawn also complements the great view we have of the river. Lastly, the Williamsburg Virginia Green office staff and field technicians are very professional, and very friendly and courteous. We have and will continue to recommend your service to others.” Your lawn absolutely shows not a weed in sight this spring and is gorgeous. Thank you for the referrals that you have sent our way and will continue to send. Referrals are a great source of advertisement.

Next, we have the Miller family from Richmond, Virginia, who has been on the Premium Lawn Care program for the past ten years. With their submission, they informed us, “I am forwarding my recent photo of our lawn—that you have maintained for the past several years! It always looks its best in the spring when the azaleas are in full bloom—red and white in the front and a hot pink at the end. This year has been especially meaningful for us as being able to be outside has been our saving grace during this surreal and stressful time sequestered at home and away from other family and friends. I don’t know what I would do without my beautiful garden! Thank you for helping us keep it so lovely.” You’re welcome, Miller family. Your azaleas are undeniably beautiful and really make the front of your home even more stunning.

Last, but not least, we have the Williams family from Glen Allen, Virginia. The Williams family has been with Virginia Green for a year now and is on the Premium Lawn Care program. With their submission, they stated, “We love the deep green color and shine of our lawn in spring. Especially paired with the contrast in colors of the varied landscaping.” Your lawn this spring is immaculate and your landscape design is so eye-catching—you wouldn’t be able to miss it. Do keep up the great work!
